The NOMAD 2 monitors wind speed, wind direction, temperature, air pressure, or other data of your choosing. NOMAD 2 is reliable and convenient to utilize in any outdoor envirionment, no matter how harsh.

NOMAD 2 manages transducer power and sensor excitation to get the most out of whatever batteries you use. A solar package for perpetual operation is an additional option. A built in relay provides control for your needs, including sensor heating for icing conditions.

Sensors and Flexibility

As many as 12 anemometers or other frequency or state devices can be connected to the NOMAD 2, including rain gauges, energy meters, and relays. Additionally, 8 analogue inputs connect directly to wind vanes, thermistors and transducers measuring air pressure, electric power, sound level or rainfall.

The blinking orange 'heartbeat' LED flashes once per second to provide visible confirmation that NOMAD 2 is operating normally.

LCD Display

A 4-line x 20 character LCD display is standard on NOMAD 2. The display contrast automatically adjusts to compensate for colder or warmer temperatures.

To conserve power, the display is normally off when the keypad is not being used. The display can be set to be always on. A bright vacuum fluorescent display is an available factory-fitted option (requires 12V), particulary suited for indoor installations or extreme cold climates.

NOMAD 2 can be interrogated using the seven-key sealed membrane keypad. Pressing any key will activate the display.
